Why are People Reluctant to Attend Concerts?
Most club concerts are cheaper than a movie, and more fun than television. Why then, are people sometimes so reluctant to attend concerts.
We think there are 2 big reasons--
#1) There are more Bad Bands than Good Ones. Its true. Most bands are just okay, but the really bad ones stick with you forever. How many times have actually made it out and been forced to suffer through some idiots on stage looking like assholes and singing songs no one wants to hear. That sucks.
Why you should still go: There is always at least one good band each night. Its like an unofficial rule that just happens every time. And the good band, or bands, are transcendent and make all the boring or crap bands worth it.
This is why you go see concerts. And on a good night, all the bands are slamming, and that is something you truly remember a lifetime.
#2) It takes commitment to go to a show, and that commitment is hard to find at a club level where nobody has heard of the band, or the music. Sure concerts are more fun, but TV is easier. And how do you know who to see if you've never heard of these bands.
Why you should still go: Life is an adventure. It is easier staying home, but it is guarunteed to be more exciting going out. You will probably have fun. You might see the band that is going to be huge some day. You might meet someone. You might get laid.
So, just do it! Go to a concert! Support Local Music! (and if you play it right--Get Laid!!!)
